Differences between phone number formatting in eWay-CRM Desktop and Online

You may notice that phone numbers are formatted differently in eWay-CRM Online and eWay-CRM Desktop.

The difference may look like this:

• eWay-CRM Online: +1 202 555 0123
• eWay-CRM Desktop: 202-555-0123

Phone number formatting differs between eWay-CRM Desktop and Online due to the way the data is processed.

eWay-CRM Online formats phone numbers dynamically when displaying them and stores them in a standardized format in the database. In contrast, Desktop does not apply any additional formatting and displays the value exactly as it is stored in the database.

As a result, differences between the two environments may occur. Unifying the formatting on the Desktop application level is not planned.
