Transition from Exchange (or any other provider) to Office 365

The article describes how to proceed on client stations during the transition from on-premise Exchange to Office 365.

Option 1: Re-install Office

In case you need to re-install Office, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall eWay-CRM.
  2. Uninstall Microsoft Office.
  3. Install Office and configure the mailbox. Wait until mailbox is fully synchronized.
  4. Install eWay-CRM.

Option 2: Create a new profile in Outlook

In case you only need to create a new Outlook profile, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new Outlook profile in safe mode (see How to run Outlook in safe mode), otherwise eWay-CRM will check every downloaded email in Inbox and Outbox and the initial synchronization may take longer time.
  2. As soon as the initial synchronization of emails is completed, you can run Outlook in a standard way with eWay-CRM.
