How to archive items in Microsoft Outlook
Description
Microsoft Outlook contains function to archive and backup old items. This function helps you when you have a lot of emails and Microsoft Outlook is starting a way too long. Microsoft Outlook has maximum size of email account at 20 GB for versions 2003 and 2007 and 50 GB for higher versions. Although, we recommend you to have your maximum email account size at units of GB, because bigger profile will decrease the speed of Microsoft Outlook and eWay-CRM launch.

Microsoft Outlook gives you 2 archiving modes - manual and automatic.
Option 1: Manual archiving
User decides when the archiving will be done.
Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007
- Click the File option and select Archive...
- Select parameters that fit your archiving needs.
- Confirm your choice by OK.
Microsoft Outlook 2010 and higher
- Click File > Tools > Archive...
- Select parameters that fit your archiving needs.
- Confirm your choice by OK.
Option 2: Automatic Archiving
The system itself proceeds the archiving the intervals and with the rules you set.
Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007
- Click Tools and select Options...
- Select the Other tab and click the AutoArchive... button.
- Select parameters that fit your archiving needs and confirm your choice by OK.
Microsoft Outlook 2010 and higher
- Go to File and click Options.
- Click the Advanced section and click the AutoArchive Settings... button.
- Select parameters that fit your archiving needs and confirm your choice by OK.
