 Addin
eWay-CRM can be described as an add-in (additional application) for Microsoft Outlook. It is an extension of existing software with new functions.
 Autodiscover
Autodiscover is a specific service of Microsoft Outlook, it Microsoft Exchange is used. The service simplifies displaying information about users that is possible on more devices. Autodiscover service automates some settings of MS Outlook.
 Blacklist
The general word for the list with banned items. For example, you can create a list of email addresses you won't receive emails from in your mailbox.
 Category
Category in eWay-CRM is a group type that has no permissions attached (in contrast to the Role). Primarily, it is an instrument for sorting items in eWay-CRM to the logical groups (categories) - items can be grouped, filtered and searched easier.
 Click-to-Run
The Microsoft visualization technology that allows to install more versions of Microsoft Office on one computer.
 CPU
Central Processing Unit, or computer processor.
 ERP system
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is information system that integrates and automates a large scale of processes related to relevant business activities. These are production, logistics, distribution, property administration, sale, invoicing and accounting.
 eWayTimer
Application that is the part of the web service. It allows periodical launching and performing of pre-set operations. These are, for example, distributing of tasks overviews, re-calculating of aggregate values, etc.
 Firewall
Network security system that manages and secures network transition between networks with different level of trustworthiness and security. It defines which application can be allowed into the system and which not. You can set specific permissions for each application. This setting can be changed in your operating system.
 GAC
Global Assembly Cache is a cache used for components that are used by more than one application. Due to this cache, there is no need for repeated launching of these components.
 GUI
Graphical User Interface that is used for the controlling of a computer and its functions.
 HDD
Abbreviation for Hard Disk Drive. Also called only hard disk or hard drive.
 HW
Abbreviation for Hardware.
 IIS
Internet Information Services (IIS) - previously called Internet Information Server - is software web server with a collection of extension modules. It is created by Microsoft for the operating system MS Windows. It is the most used web server after Apache. IIS 7.5 supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SMTP and NNTP protocols.
 IMAP
IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is web protocol for remote access to a mailbox via the email client. IMAP allows you to use advanced options for the remote administration (working with folders and transferring of messages among them, searching on the server side, etc.) and work in online and offline mode. These functions are not supported by the older and simpler POP3 protocol.
 JavaScript
JavaScript is object-oriented programming language that is mostly used as the web programming language for web sites - it is often inserted right into the HTML code of the web. JavaScript can control different interactive elements of the GUI (buttons, text areas) or can create animations or picture effects.
 OAB
Offline Address Book is used for saving email addresses and displaying information about users you saved into MS Outlook when you are using Microsoft Exchange.
 PBX
A business telephone system typically used in business environments.
 PM
Project Manager
 Proxy server
Proxy server works as an intermediary between a client and target computer (server), translates requirements and performs as a client for the target computer. It can be specialized hardware or software that is run on the ordinary computer. Proxy server separates local network (intranet) from the Internet.
 RAM
The type of memory in the computer. It is Random-Access Memory, the operative memory for immediate access and storage of information that are used during the run of a computer and its applications.
 Role
Roles in eWay-CRM is a group type that has set specific user permissions (in the contrast to Category) - role can be marked as the user group. It allows you to split user permissions and responsibilities throughout the system. If the user has a role (user, manager, or administrator), he or she automatically receives permissions for the work with data in the range that is defined for his or her role. If the user is assigned for more roles, he or she receives the highest permissions for each module.
 SW
Abbreviation for Software.
 TAPI
It means Telephony Application Programming Interface. The interface and drivers that allows you to make and accept call right on your computer.
 UAC
User Account Control is security technology that increases the safeness of Microsoft Windows by the limitation of application permissions on the user level, until the administrator changes the application permissions. Only trustworthy applications receive higher permissions. Malware won't be allowed to damage your system. The user account can have administrator's permissions, but application can have different permissions. Applications have higher permissions by their settings or by temporary user's permission if the system asks.
 WF
Workflow is a scheme for processing a comprehensive activity (procedure) that is divided into simpler activities and their relations.
In eWay-CRM, the term is used for the sequence of consequent activities or statuses which relations gives user efficient instrument for the process management of projects, document treatment and absence administration.
