eWay-CRM Initialization Dialog

eWay-CRM Initialization

After the installation of eWay-CRM, the dialog eWay-CRM Initialization can appear. This will happen when the other data need verification. You can define the Connection to the local eWay-CRM database (middle part) there. In addition you have to enter the data for logging into the eWay-CRM web service. This dialog will appear when you are installing the eWay-CRM multi-version.

The procedure for completion

The dialog has a few separated parts.

The first part allows you to enter access data for eWay-CRM to the Web service credentials. These data are different for every user and their format may be different according to the safety policy of your company. In most cases access data are in this format:

  • Web service address – the web service is a kind of an access gate, through which the client’s applications read and execute changes to the server data. The address is usually in this format: http(s)://name_orIP_of_server/path_to_web_service (for example http://server5/eWay).
  • Username – identifies the user and usually is in this format: the first letter of forename and whole surname, without any diacritics and in lower case (for example ovitaiova).
  • Password to eWay-CRM – every user (or at least administrator) should know his password to the system. It is possible to change a lost or forgotten password via the Administration application. Company administrators or company leaders have access to this application. More information can be found in User card.

SQL server access information part of the dialog defines the credentials for the access to the eWay-CRM database. You need to insert:

  • SQL server instance– here you will find all the running options for the SQL server. The default option is the EWAYSQL server for connection to eWay-CRM. Clicking Refresh will restore the list of running options in the field for a choice of the SQL server. The list contains also LocalDB instances.
  • Username to database – enter the user name to be used for connection to the SQL server – the default setting uses the system administrator's name: sa.
  • Password to database – enter the password for the selected user name into this field. The default password is eWay-CRM123 (or eWay123 in older installation packages). If the instance is LocalDB, the standard password is not used - LocalDB instance is connected without password. For the authentication, your operating system uses Windows Authentication.

Under Choose language you can define whether you want to work in the Czech or English.

When you want to confirm your adjustment, click OK. eWay-CRM will connect to the server which you selected within your chosen local database. If you want to quit without saving, click Cancel but the eWay-CRM system will not be available to you.
